Hi! Welcome to Blogmas Day 3!
Today I wanted to get into the Christmas spirit with a Christmas tag! In my searching, I found the Holly Jolly Christmas Tag that went around YouTube and decided to write up a post answering some of the questions from that. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to copy the questions and comment below with your answers – I’d love to read them!
1. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I’m horrible at picking favorites, especially with Christmas movies! If I had to choose an absolute favorite, I would probably have to go with A Christmas Story. I also really love Elf and The Santa Clause movies.
2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
I don’t remember if it has ever snowed ON Christmas, but there certainly has been snow on the ground on Christmas!
3. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
I typically start my Christmas shopping early but also finish it last minute. I’m just never done!
4. Name all of Santa’s reindeer.
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph. And yes, I did have to sing the song while writing this!
5. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
We used to put it up earlier in the month, but now we typically put it up around the 16th of December when I get home from school for break!
6. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
REAL! I refuse to let my parents buy a fake tree.
7. Peeking at gifts or be surprised?
Growing up, I never peeked! I actually never even knew where presents were hidden in my house. The only time I would “peek” was when I would wake up early Christmas morning and look downstairs at the tree while I ran to the bathroom before going back to bed.
8. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
There is no specific recipe, but my mom and I always bake cookies each year! My specialty is frosted cutout sugar cookies (hint hint, Blogmas post coming soon) but we usually make a bunch of different types of cookies for Christmas.
9. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I always try my hardest to wrap something perfectly, but it never goes all that well. In the end, my wrapping doesn’t look that bad, but I’ve used about 10 times more tape than there needs to be. Oops!
10. What tops your tree?
On the top of my tree, every year sits this glorious cardstock star with sequins glued on it attached to a toilet paper roll that I made when I was a young child. Trust me, it’s a lot cuter than I make it seem! We used it for years when I was young and it’s just stuck and become a tradition!
