5 Tips for Being Productive in the Summer

Hey! Welcome back to my blog!

In the summer productivity can get a little low, but it doesn’t have to! Today I’ve got 5 tips for being productive in the summer!

1. SET AN ALARM

Even if it’s for 10:30 in the morning, set an alarm so you wake up every day before lunchtime. That way you have the day to get stuff done and be productive! If you sleep until noon or later, by the time you wake up your day is practically halfway over! Get up in the morning so you can eat a nice breakfast and get a headstart on a productive day.

2. GET AN INTERNSHIP OR PART-TIME JOB

Spending your whole day at home with nothing to do can be a drag. Consider getting an internship or a part-time job (or both like I am this summer!) to give you something to do. It helps you pass the time and you can earn some cash and learn some valuable lessons.

3. HEAD TO THE GYM

During the semester, life can get really busy, and getting to the gym can be hard. With a newfound freedom in the summer, consider getting a gym membership and getting into a workout routine! It gives you something to do that’s outside of your house and good for you.

4. LEARN SOMETHING NEW

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you have to stop learning! Choose a skill or something that you want to be better at and start learning! For example, this summer I’m working my way through a Python Crash Course book and am learning to code! It’s something that I’ve wanted to learn for a while and now that it’s summer I have the time to actually dedicate to it.

5. DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR PLANNER

I know sometimes during the summer we slack on our planners and to-do lists since we’re not in classes and don’t have homework to get done. But don’t ditch your planner if you want a productive summer! Use it to schedule your days or keep track of when you have work or vacations or lunch with friends. You’ll keep up a routine of tracking your time that will carry over into the fall when you head back to school.

And there you have it! With these 5 tips, you’ll be on your way to a fabulous productive summer break! What’s your top tip for productivity this summer? Let me know in a comment! 1. This is so true!! I’ve been trying to follow these (well, all except for the working out 🙈) and they’ve helped me be more productive! I find that if I don’t wake up early, then the rest of the day is isn’t productive for me, so I’ve been doing that a lot too. And scheduling aLLLLLLLLLways helps!
