It’s been said so much before, but we’re living through some stressful times right now. There’s a lot of uncertainty and anxiety surrounding the next few months, which can lead to a lot of stress. That’s why I’m sharing how you can create a pampering night routine to unwind and treat yourself right now!
Of course, even if you’re reading this after the hullabaloo of the coronavirus pandemic, this post will still be helpful for when you just want to pamper yourself after a long, stressful day. Enjoy!
STEP ONE: FACE MASK
You’re bound to have a face mask lying around somewhere in your bathroom. Grab your favorite one, slap it on, and watch your favorite show on Netflix while it soaks in and dries.
STEP TWO: HOT SHOWER OR BATH
Take a shower with some hot water, or set yourself up a nice, bubble bath. You can use this time to wash off your face mask, wash your hair, and just wash off the day you just had. Heck, even play some music to listen to while you do so! I don’t know about you, but hot water is one of the most calming things ever to me. This is a crucial step for me when having a relaxing night.
STEP THREE: LOTION AND COZY PAJAMAS
Once you’ve gotten clean, put on some lotion and get dressed in your coziest pajamas. I’m talking full pants, fuzzy socks, a big sweatshirt, and a messy bun. Doesn’t matter what you look like, as long as you feel cozy. Being warm and comfortable is important!
STEP FOUR: HAVE A YUMMY TREAT
Grab a piece of chocolate, your favorite type of snack, or a glass of wine (if 21+ of course!) and treat yourself to something yummy. Or, treat yourself to a few yummy things because, let’s be real, sometimes you just can’t decide which treat you want!
STEP FIVE: WATCH A MOVIE AND GET SOME REST
Turn on your favorite movie or tv show and relax! And don’t forget the most important part of a pampering routine: get to bed early!
Follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to total relaxation and de-stressing. What do you like to do after a long, stressful day? Let me know in a comment below!

I haven’t had a cozy night in a while, so I’ll have to try these self care tips out! Usually I work wayy too late, haha, but my favorite thing to do is to make a cup of hot chocolate and read a while in bed before I sleep!
