As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to really enjoy mornings. I love how I can set myself up for success and get my day started with a simple morning routine. I wanted to share some things you can do each morning to create a perfect routine that starts your day off on the right foot and sets you up for a great day!
1. WAKE UP BEFORE 10AM
You don’t have to wake up at 5am to have a productive morning, but I recommend waking up at 10am at the very latest. This will give you time to get ready for the day and have breakfast before noon. Also, try not to hit snooze; get into the habit of waking up and getting out of bed right away.
2. SKINCARE
Taking care of your skin is so important! Make sure you are doing your skincare routine both morning and night. If you want to keep it super simple in the morning, just stick to a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
3. PLAN THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO GET DONE THAT DAY
Make yourself a small to-do list of your 3 main goals for the day. This will help you get into a productive mindset without making yourself overwhelmed by everything you want to get done.
4. DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR MIND & BODY
Take some time and do something for your mind and body. Meditate, do some yoga, get in your daily workout, go for a walk, read a book, etc. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes, do something to get yourself feeling good and ready to tackle your day.
5. MAKE YOURSELF A HEALTHY, BALANCED BREAKFAST
The most important thing you can do in the mornings is to eat a balanced meal. Having a healthy breakfast always makes me want to eat healthy for the rest of the day. It gives you lots of nutrients first thing in the morning and just sets you up for a good mindset for the rest of the day.
Finding a perfect routine to set yourself up for a productive day will be so beneficial and helpful to you. What does your productive morning routine look like? Let me know in a comment!
