5 Simple Tips for Personal Growth

Personal growth is such a great thing to work on since we are constantly evolving every day. Putting a focus on improving yourself and your life is a perfect thing to do right now since the world is slightly paused due to COVID-19. Today I’m sharing with you 5 simple things you can do every day to help your personal growth journey.


I love me a good rom-com book, but I’ve been trying to read more non-fiction lately. Choose a topic you want to know more about (or if you can’t decide, go with a classic self-help book) and give it a read! Reading more non-fiction can help continue your education even when you’re not in school. Whether you’re on a break or you’ve already graduated, it’s great to constantly continue learning and seeking out new information.


Having a solid workout routine is important, but I also firmly believe you should incorporate walking into your daily routine. It gives you a perfect opportunity to give someone a phone call, to have a chat with your family/roommates, or to listen to that podcast you’ve been loving. Daily walks are a great way to get in some steps, enjoy the fresh air, and take a break from any technology or screen you’ve been looking at all day.


A great way to improve yourself is to focus on what you can do to help others. An important thing you can do each day is anti-racist work. Find some resources about social justice and give them a read, find petitions online and go through and sign them all, have a conversation with someone about racial injustice, and how you can work to improve your personal biases. This is a great habit to get into that will both help to improve you and the world around you.


We constantly are manifesting our future and thinking about what we want for ourselves in life. Take some time to really plan out what you want. You can do this by writing down a description of your perfect life, writing down specific goals you have for certain timelines, or creating a vision board for you to constantly look back at and refer to as time goes on. All of these tasks help you to really see what it is you want in life and can help you better plan how to get there.


Don’t go one day without telling someone you love them. It could be a family member, significant other, friend, even yourself! This is such a simple thing to do every day that will really have an impact on your life. I believe that you get back what you put out into the world, so try putting out positivity and love.
