In order to set yourself up for success, you need to do some prep work. If you want to have an extremely productive day, you should do a few things the night before to get yourself ready. Preparing for the day ahead at night allows you to go to sleep without any stress because everything is ready and waiting for when you want to get started! Today I’m sharing 5 small things you should do every night to set yourself up for a productive day. These things only take a few minutes, but they’ll save you so much time and energy the next day!
1. WRITE OUT YOUR TO-DO LIST
Creating a to-do list the night before is a perfect way to get your game plan set before you wake up. This way you’re able to get started on things right away the next morning and don’t have to try and figure out your plan for the day when you’re groggy in the morning!
2. GO TO BED EARLY
In order to have a successful day, you need to make sure you’re well rested! Your brain needs time to recharge so it can work at its full potential, so try to head to bed early so you can get a full night’s sleep.
3. CLEAN UP FOR 5 MINUTES
Even if you’re tired, 5 minutes isn’t that much time! Set a timer for 5 minutes and pick one thing to clean. Wether that’s cleaning up the dishes in your sink, putting some laundry away, or cleaning your bathroom mirrors, getting some cleaning done will make you feel so good in the morning because it’ll already be done!
4. PLAN OUT YOUR MEALS
Planning your meals ahead of time helps make sure you stay balanced and on track with any meal plan you might have. I love planning out my meals so I don’t have to spend time when I’m hungry trying to figure out what I want. It makes life so much easier!
5. UNPLUG BEFORE BED
Take 30-60 minutes before bed to unplug and unwind. You can read a book, meditate, journal, go through a stretching routine, whatever you want to do that will help relax you and get you away from your screens. This will help you destress and get ready for another busy and productive day!
