Tomorrow is the first day of December, so it’s the perfect time to set some goals. While this year may not have gone as we all had planned, it has still been time for us to learn and grow, and we can still set some goals for the last month!
For me, 2020 has been all about taking a break and really turning inward and working on myself. While it’s been a tough year, I do think 2020 has served as a huge learning and growth opportunity for me. I’ve learned more about how I react to stress and how to better manage anxious feelings and how to deal with life when it doesn’t go as planned.
I started this year thinking I would graduate school, move into a new apartment, get a job right away, and start my adult life. Instead, I moved back home in March, finished my year virtually, didn’t have a real graduation, didn’t find a job until October, and am still living with my parents. But hey – I’m healthy and am lucky to have a roof over my head and parents who welcomed me home so it all is okay in the end! I know there are so many people who have it much worse than I do, so I’m very grateful for what I have, even if it’s not what I planned.
But anyway, back to the original point of this post! I wanted to share 10 goals that you can set and achieve this month to make the end of 2020 better than the rest. These are all goals that are perfect for those of us who are still at home and aren’t doing much because of the pandemic. Take this last month to work on yourself and make it the best month yet!
Here are my 10 December goals ideas for you:
- LEARN A NEW HOBBY
- GET UP WHEN THE ALARM GOES OFF
- MOVE YOUR BODY FOR 30+ MINUTES EVERY DAY
- HAVE A SELF-CARE DAY EVERY WEEK
- READ MORE BOOKS THAN YOU DID IN NOVEMBER
- HAVE A VIDEO CALL WITH FAMILY ONCE A WEEK
- LEARN AT LEAST ONE NEW RECIPE
- DRINK 100 OZ OF WATER EVERY DAY
- GET AT LEAST 7 HOURS OF SLEEP EACH NIGHT
- TAKE A SOCIAL MEDIA BREAK
Obviously you don’t have to set all of these goals, or any really! These are just to serve as inspiration for your personal December 2020 goals list. Be sure to let me know in a comment what goals you’re setting for this last month of 2020! Or are you even setting any this year? These are all great goals! I want to get back into waking up at 5 a.m. every morning rather than sleeping in until 6. 🙂
