10 Ways to Practice Self-Love This Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re single or in a relationship, Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to show yourself some extra love! This year Valentine’s Day falls on a #SelfCareSunday, which makes it even better! I’m sharing 10 ideas for a self-love filled Valentine’s Day, I hope you enjoy!

1. MAKE HOLIDAY THEMED TREATS

Chocolate covered strawberries, heart shaped cookies, pink and red cupcakes, you can make whatever your heart desires! Make your favorite type of dessert, and make it themed for Valentine’s Day to add a little something special to it!

2. HAVE A HOME SPA NIGHT

Home spa night are one of my favorite things to do. It always makes me feel so relaxed and happy. Take a bath or shower, do a face mask, paint your nails, etc. Go all out and make your bathroom the perfect oasis for a mini spa!

3. TREAT YOURSELF TO THAT THING YOU WANT

Have you been eyeing a pair of shoes or a coat or a new tech gadget but haven’t bought it yet? Get yourself a Valentine’s Day present! Who said you couldn’t treat yourself?

4. MAKE YOURSELF A SELF-CARE KIT

Make a self-care kit for yourself ahead of time so you have everything you need on Valentine’s Day. Fill a box or basket with your favorite snacks, some cozy pajamas, skincare, supplies for your spa night, anything you may want to create a little self-care party for yourself!

5. BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS

You don’t need a significant other to buy you flowers. If you want some, get them for yourself! The plus side of getting them yourself is that you get to pick out exactly what you want.

6. LOG OFF SOCIAL MEDIA AND HAVE A NIGHT IN WITH YOURSELF

Logging off of social media for a night is the best form of self care and self love for me. Take the night off of social media to just have a fun night with yourself! No need to scroll and see what others are doing and compare yourself, just block everything out and enjoy a night with the most important person in your life: yourself.

7. WRITE DOWN A LIST OF AFFIRMATIONS

Positive affirmations are such a great way to practice self love! Make a list of affirmations to repeat to yourself. Affirmations help you get into a good mindset and express love and positivity to yourself which is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

8. CREATE A VISION BOARD

Have goals you want to achieve? Create a vision board for yourself! You can make one physically or digitally, so there’s plenty of ways you can make it your own. Not only does it help you create something to motivate you but it also is just a fun activity you can do!

9. HAVE A CUP OF TEA AND WATCH YOUR FAVORITE SHOW/MOVIE

It doesn’t have to be tea, it could be a nice coffee or hot chocolate or even a cocktail! But either way grab a drink you love and turn on your favorite show or movie.

10. COOK YOURSELF A FANCY DINNER OR GET TAKEOUT FROM YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT

If you like to cook, try out a new recipe or an old tried and true one to make yourself a fancy dinner to enjoy! If you don’t like to cook, order takeout from your favorite restaurant. Either way you can enjoy a nice dinner to celebrate your night of self love!
